Mentorship Form

HMS MEDscience's mission is to address the inspiration and opportunity gap in high school STEM education by providing hands-on experiences that enhance the 21st century skills necessary for students to succeed in their future careers. To further build upon our mission, we have initiated a mentorship program. Many students are already extremely interested in pursuing a career in medicine and have expressed an interest in being able to speak with someone in the medical field to learn more about their career path, discuss career options, talk about what a typical day looks like, the list goes on. With this in mind, we're offering Boston-area public high school students who have worked with MEDscience, the opportunity to be mentored one-on-one by medical students and healthcare professionals!


Mentees will meet with their mentors about once a month via Zoom. Through this program, mentees will have the chance to:

  • DEVELOP one-on-one connections with medical and graduate students in the Harvard community and beyond

  • GAIN a better understanding of the scientific and medical fields

  • ENHANCE their personal development

  • GROW their network of people who can help them think about their future

  • PRACTICE their communication and critical thinking skills which will help prepare them for college, work, and life!

We've gathered a diverse group of mentors and mentees who are excited to take part in this program! We'd love to add more mentors to our roster therefore, anyone in the medical field is welcome.
