MEDscienceWORKS

HMS MEDscienceWORKS is our workforce development program for young adults (ages 18-29). The program prepares participants for early-career laboratory roles in the life sciences industry. MEDscienceWORKS is funded through the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center Pathmaker Program.

MEDscienceWORKS trainees gain hands-on experience with essential laboratory techniques, such as micropipetting, gel electrophoresis, PCR, ELISA, and microscopy. Trainees also develop building-block professional skills like resume writing, interviewing, and networking. All trainees have the opportunity to spend time doing on-site, experiential learning with industry partners, including world-renowned hospitals and life science companies. Graduates receive a $2,000 stipend upon completion of the program.
